The 15-minute setup
- Face a window — daylight in front of you beats any ring light behind you.
- Raise the camera — lens at eye level; a stack of books is fine.
- Wired ears beat laptop mics — echo is more distracting than any background.
Do a dry runRecord 60 seconds answering 'tell me about yourself' and watch it back. Painful, and worth more than an hour of extra prep.
