Quantify everything: turning duties into achievements
'Responsible for reporting' says nothing. 'Cut reporting time 60%' gets interviews. The find-your-numbers method, even for 'unmeasurable' jobs.

The single highest-leverage resume edit is converting duties into outcomes. Numbers make claims believable and comparable — the two things a skimming recruiter needs.
Finding numbers in any job
- Time — what got faster? Handling time, turnaround, onboarding weeks.
- Volume — how many? Tickets, clients, orders, articles, students.
- Money — saved, earned, protected; even careful estimates ('~€20k/yr') work.
- Quality — error rates, satisfaction scores, retention.
Formula: strong verb + what you did + measurable result. "Rebuilt the rota system, cutting overtime costs 18%."
No data? Reconstruct it'About how many per week? Compared to before?' Honest estimates beat vague adjectives every time — just never invent precision you don't have.
